The Position
We are looking for an independent contractor who is certified to teach in BC for our Abbotsford Community Connections+ grad program location teaching. Community Connections Plus (CC+) are in person learning opportunities that are one full day per week for 30 weeks where students collaborate in a class setting with a home-education flavour with a focus on meaningful and hands-on learning activities. CC+ classes are led by BC certified teachers fully responsible for covering all CC+ course outcomes.
- English Language Arts, Social Studies, Career Life Connections (Grade 10)
- 33 FTE, one day (Tuesday) on-site for 30 weeks at Gateway Church in Abbotsford
- Additional 0.13 built in for prep and assessment
Qualifications:
- BC Certified Teacher
- Previous experience teaching relevant subjects
- Ability to build relationships and work relationally with students, parents, coordinator and other team members
- Flexible attitude towards adapting to students and situation
What we offer:
- Competitive Wage: $24,367 – $26,941/year based on 0.33 FTE and depending on experience and certifications

- Ability to combine position with other posted teaching opportunities within HCOS
