Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS) is a ministry of Kelowna Christian Center Society (KCCS). KCCS was established in 1982 with a vision for the community and global influence. KCCS’ mission is “To reach, raise up and release people who are competent to represent their faith in every sphere of culture.”
HCOS is a thriving online learning community offering K-12 home and online education to students across the province. HCOS provides flexible solutions and programming tailored to every child’s learning journey.
Community Connections Face-to-Face Teaching Opportunity
Are you passionate about teaching and looking for an opportunity to inspire and connect in-person with enthusiastic students? We have a number of exciting opportunities at Community Connections and Community Connections Plus locations around the province!
These HCOS in-person communities offer a Christ-centered teaching atmosphere where you can help students develop a lifelong love of learning. As an instructor at Community Connections, you will have the opportunity to partner with HCOS Support teachers who complete assessments. Community Connections run for 16, 18 or 24 weeks, one day per week, while Community Connections Plus offers a full 30-week program one day per week where you will teach and assess all course outcomes for up to 3 courses.
We currently have Community Connections and/ or Community Connections Plus locations in the following communities:
- Abbotsford
- Campbell River
- Chilliwack
- Cowichan
- Kelowna
- Langley
- Nanaimo
- Parksville
- Penticton
- Powell River
- Prince George
- Sunshine Coast
- Vernon
- Victoria
Qualifications:
- BC Certified Teacher
- Previous years experience is an asset
- Ability to build relationships and work relationally with students, parents, coordinator and other team members
- Flexible attitude towards adapting to students and situations
