Assistant Director of Inclusive Education: Programming

HCOS has an opening for an Assistant Director of IE: Programming. This is a full-time, remote, permanent position. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee Regional Administrators as well as teacher and student academic programming under the direction of the HCOS Director of IE.

As the Assistant Director of IE: Programming, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with the Director of IE around supporting and managing IE Systems Office and day-to-day programming of Regional Administrators
• Work alongside Regional Administrators, driving high quality of programming and offering additional support for teachers and students
• Review inclusive education practices with other divisions, creating resources, identifying training needs and creating training plans
• Oversee student at risk team (SRT) processes
• Lead extended enrolment improvement process
• Represent IE program programming needs and perspectives across the school as requested
• Collaborate with Director of IE in service delivery, including divisional vision, training and professional development, evaluation and participation at educational events and conferences
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, supporting, and managing contractors and employees alongside IE Leadership team
• Travel to in-person meetings, and events throughout BC

• Certified BC Teacher
• Inclusive Education and school leadership experience  
• Organized, detail-oriented, systems minded
• Able to manage varying workloads and prioritize multiple tasks in a timely manner
• Proficient technological skills and ability to manage multiple software programs at once
• Flexible attitude toward innovation and change
• Ability to work on a computer for extended periods
