Heritage Christian Online School (HCOS) is a K-12 Provincial Online Learning School providing fully accredited Christian education to students in BC. At HCOS, our Education Assistants are independent contractors who are resourceful and innovative educators, providing student support to Home Learners within the Inclusive Education Department of HCOS. We’re looking for dynamic Education Assistants to work with Inclusive Education students in the family home and/or at our one-day-a-week on-site locations, called Community Connection.

Specific training in Inclusive Education, such as an Education Assistant certificate or equivalent, is preferred.

We are looking for independent contractors in the following communities (but not limited to):

  • Kelowna
  • Kamloops
  • Langley
  • Abbotsford
  • Prince George

An ideal candidate will:

  • have knowledge and experience working with neurodiverse students
  • have experience in differentiating learning for students of various proficiency levels
  • provide social, spiritual, and academic support
  • support executive functioning and self-regulation
  • understand the need to be flexible and adaptable
  • problem-solve creatively & be self-directed
  • have strong written and oral communication skills
  • work collaboratively within a student’s support team
  • be technologically proficient with Zoom, Google Workspace etc.
  • have a valid Class 5 driver’s license

We are looking for people who:

  • $23.50 – $27.56 depending on experience and certifications
